One of the biggest suspended aquariums in the world is the 10-million-liter Dubai Aquarium tank, located on the Ground Level of The Dubai Mall. Over 140 different types of aquatic creatures are housed there in large numbers. The tank houses more than 300 sharks and rays, which also include one of the greatest collections of Sand Tiger Sharks in the whole world. There are several opportunities for guests to enjoy the main Aquarium tank, which is 51 metres in length, 20 metres in breadth, and 11 metres in height.

You may stroll directly into this intriguing habitat, thanks to Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo's near-perfect recreation of it. The 48-meter-long Aquarium tunnel, found on The Dubai Mall's ground floor, descends 11 metres below the surface. This enormous 40-year-old creature, which weighs a whopping 750 kg, measures more than 5 metres in length, and is native to Australia, is a wonder of the animal kingdom. The soon-to-be King Croc was promptly relocated from the Botanic Gardens that he had taken over to a more protected location in Queensland, Australia, after being first seen measuring just 2.4 metres in length and being branded a "problem" crocodile by the locals.

This one is the smallest of the 13 otter species, exclusive to Asia. In the Underwater Zoo, visitors may take a behind-the-scenes tour of the otters' residences and engage with these endearing and charismatic creatures. A unique instructional presentation about otters is also available. The smallest species of Otter in the world, the Asian small-clawed Otter, weighs less than 5 kilos and is a critically endangered species. They are carnivorous by nature, inhabiting streams, rivers, marshes, and rice paddies, and eat insects, fish, crabs, and snails. Otters have enormous appetites and can consume up to 20% of their body weight daily.

On our specifically created ray feeding platform at Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, come and hand-feed our brave Eagle Rays and Cow nose Rays. It's incredible to see these curious, yet kind animals breach the water's surface and grab fish out of your hands. Rays are wonderful creatures. They are very safe to feed, and they will make you smile.

Eight male and eight female Gentoo penguins live in the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. Until the "Penguin Encounter" opens in early August, a trip to "Penguin Cove" will be included with Aqua Nursery experience tickets. With the brand-new immersive experience, visitors can enter the Penguin Cove environment and get up close and personal with a live Gentoo penguin colony while learning about their unique natural habits.

Visitors to this fun family activity will learn about different shark species and how the animals are cared for at the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. Visitors will also get a behind-the-scenes look at how the aquarium staff trains Bamboo Sharks and Leopard Sharks while learning about their surroundings, feeding, and breeding routines. As you begin your diving adventure, planned in conjunction with Al Boom Diving, you'll be sharing the water with Leopard Sharks, Sand Tiger Sharks, Tawny Nurse Sharks, Giant Groupers, Reef Sharks, Stingrays, and a bunch of other aquatic animals. With a maximum of 4 divers in each slot, there are only three shark dives daily. Every dive is supervised by a Dive Master and Dive Instructor, who will also support you.

Anyone eight years of age and older can take advantage of the Cage Snorkeling Experience. It allows guests to enter the ten-million-litre tank without diving gear if they don't like scuba diving but want a comparable experience. Participants with no prior experience are also welcomed here. If you don't want to dive fully, you may still experience the thrill in a secure cage environment. Put on your snorkelling gear, enter the aquarium's safety cage, and you can get up close and personal with more than 70 different marine creatures, including 300 sharks and rays.

A three-dive programme called the brand-new Atlantis Dubai aquarium Specialty Dive gives PADI-certified visitors the chance to advance their driving skills to a new level. While our divers feed the sharks in the aquarium tank, explore the wonders of underwater photography and take advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime chance inside the diving cage.
